Wild ONE Birthday Party - First Birthday Party Theme Idea
Today, we’re sharing one of the cutest first birthday themes - WILD ONE BIRTHDAY PARTY! Last August, my niece celebrated her first birthday and when I walked in, I was in absolute awe of how everything came together for her party decorations. My cousin didn’t miss a single detail when planning this party! Little L is full of energy, happiness and just a little bit wild so it felt appropriate for us to all celebrate her in WILD ONE fashion! Below, I’m sharing some of my favorite details from this perfect first birthday party!

There wasn’t a single detail missed when it came to this Wild One birthday party theme! From the walls, to the tables to the food, this party screamed Wild ONE everywhere and we loved it!
You might remember from R’s first birthday party - ONE Happy Camper - that I made his highchair banner. I offered to make one for L’s first birthday too and am obsessed with how it turned out. I picked up fabric from Hobby Lobby in a variety of patterns and colors that I knew went with the theme. From there, I cut the strips and hot glued them onto rope. In the center, I wrote “one” in chalk marker on a thin wooden pendant. For a little dimension, I cut out a slightly larger pendant from natural colored cardstock. The wooden pendant, cardstock and rope are all items I had collected previously but you can find these at your local craft store for cheap!
Wild One Birthday Party Decor
One of the most eye-catching details of the party was this beautiful wild jungle balloon arch. The kit was ordered off Amazon and my cousin assembled it herself. She got a plug in air pump which helped speed up the process. After doing a few for previous parties, she said this took her less than an hour to do! It’s also easy to prep the evening before, but the balloons will lose a bit of air so slightly overfill them. She framed the balloon arch around a Wild One backdrop that made the perfect setting for photos! This backdrop was also found and purchased on Amazon.
The rest of the decorations were from a combination of Amazon and Etsy. These two sites combined to add the cutest of details to truly make this a party to remember and celebrate Wild One little L.
Wild One Birthday Outfit
Our favorite final touch to this birthday party is the totally on theme onesie the birthday girl wore! It was the cutest detail for all of her 1st birthday pictures. This onesie came from Etsy and the seller offers adorable full outfits or the option to purchase the onesie on it’s own.
Birthday Sign
This bonus decoration was made by L’s grandpa! You might remember him as the artist of her safari room, R’s mountain mural, or the rocketship from R’s 2nd birthday party. Such a special decoration to have to greet everyone to her Wild One birthday. The flower was a separate piece that little L will be able to keep forever. All the guests wrote a happy birthday message to her on the back making this a special keepsake for years to come.
We know not everyone would be able to have something like this, but wanted to share it as inspiration. If you are artistic or have a friend/family member that is, a small on theme keepsake like this would be such a fun idea!
